Photography has captivated me since I first picked up a camera when I was seven years old and came to understand how light could capture an instant in time and preserve it for many years to come. Photography is the art that remembers! It is nearly fifty years later, and I have seen my own memories fade into obscurity, life situations change, and people come and go from this world. The one thing the years have reassured me is that the moment we have to create photographic art is now. It is the photographs that will help us to remember the events and people we have now, and become the most cherished memories we adore in the future!

Something else I love about photography is working with people of all ages and all levels of life experience! I love learning about people and working with them to capture the spirit of who they are. That is what I think elevates the art of photography to a level beyond just drawing with light. It can capture the expressions and traces of emotion that cannot be manufactured by AI, or in any other way.
