To say that photography is a lifeling passion seems a bit cliche, but I cannot think of a time beyond 1977 when I was not intrigued by cameras, how they work, and how a tiny moment in time can be captured by them an preserved for ages. I have always messed about with them. In highschool I took several semesters of photography classes, and continued to study into college. When I lived in the UK for some time, I continued to learn about how to process digital photogaphy, a far cry from the darkrooms of my early years. But the work done there is stylistic editing. Ultimately, where I root my own work is on hos I compose and frame, and the choices that are made in scene and in the momeny the image is captured. That is the tiny moment in time that makes all the difference on what is done with the image later.
